Update 02/03

Our ‘Nature City’ release tour is almost a wrap! Today we play in Sendesaal Bremen, and the next two days we’re guests at two Polish Festivals: 6. Katowice JazzArt Festival & Jazztopad Festival. Can’t wait! More info on the concerts here.

Our tour has so far been a great success, especially the Belgian concerts, who were repeatedly sold out! Couldn’t make it to any of our concerts? Yesterday we were invited by VPRO Vrije Geluiden to play a gig at their live show. You can hear & see the result March, 12 here, or you can buy our brand new album here online. Enjoy!

More great news! Our concert at De Schaduw is confirmed. We’re celebrating 10 years LABtrio with an apero concert at the place where it all started 10 years ago. Come and enjoy our new music from our third album, expected February 2017. It will be a range of new collectively composed works and older never-heard compositions recycled and refreshed by the band members, mixed with some covers, where we wanted to leave our own mark on. (Mark your calendar: 26th February 2017)

We are selected for thé Dutch showcase event for jazz talent: So What’s Next? Downtown. Out of 55 domestic and international applications, only 10 acts were selected by a professional jury to play on the 6th of November (1.30 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.) in Eindhoven. We are excited to welcome you!

We just got back from a five-day, idyllic residence to write on our new album (expected February 2017). We had a blast! This new album will celebrate our 10th anniversary next year. We will be touring in Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland & Germany. Hurry to our ‘Agenda’ section where you can already find some confirmed dates of this release tour.

Update 01/04/2016

In October 2015 we were touring with the British band Dinosaur through the United Kingdom, Belgium and The Netherlands for the Match and Fuse Program. Now, a few months later, we are both selected for Jazzahead! 2016. We just released a video about the tour and as teaser for our upcoming concerts. We hope you’ll enjoy it.

LABtrio is one of the two Belgian bands that were selected for Jazzahead 2016! We’ll present ourselves on  the 23rd of April 2016 from 4.00 pm – 4.30 pm at Hall 7.1.

40 Bands from 16 countries have been selected for the jazzahead! showcase festival from a total of 587 applications from 42 countries

LABtrio was one of the two Belgian bands that were selected! We’ll present ourselves on  the 23th of April 2016 from 4.00 pm – 4.30 pm at Hall 7.1.

In less then one month we’ll be releasing our new album “The Howls Are Not What They Seem” (featuring Michael Attias en Christopher Hoffmann) on Outhere Music. The album was recorded during the summer of 2015 at Kaleidoscope Sound in New Jersey (USA). Lisa Tahon from Lisa’s Productions made a documentary about this trip to the USA, that you can watch in premier on this link: https://vimeo.com/144385884
